Took mother down to Woking to see the new ankle biter then swung by Brooklands museum to visit the now defunkt but still incredibly beautiful Concorde.
Slight Kangoo emergency averted then staunch SAAB up north with Pippa. Xmas eve mostly spent in The Barrel and then a quick pit stop with Mr. Thom Strid. Good to back in the land of cowshit and 4 wheel drive but already aching for London...
Drove down to The Amersham Arms SE13 to see SAUDI's and THE METROS etc in a last gasp of indie before xmas. Upon our return to Stockwell we discovered that Frank and Daniel had had a bit of a party....
FHM March was put to bed bloodied and beaten then we retired to Jamies Bar for the Xmas lunch. Nikki got the greatest Secret Santa ever. I bailed early to avoid carnage and hooked up with TK1 and the Reservoir Dogs at the bar.
Shoot with Adrian and some really awkward models then Mr. Ben Swank took me to the 12 Bar to see the new blues miesters CONGREGATION. Check their Myspace. They are straight outta New Cross, btw what's up with New Cross at the moment? it's like the new Camden or something.
This week is llooonnngggg. Trudged through the editorial mud then down to the bar for Health And Happiness xmas party. Great country and western board game boys! then met a dancer on the way home who had amazing eyelashes.
Through the crosstown traffic and down the London Orbital to some satellite town to see the new addition to the family. Lesley made a terrific Spag Bol and the lil' bubba is so small, amazing and beautiful. Staggering actually. Really fantastic to see them all so happy. BTW Sorry about the cliche T-Shirt; I just couldn't resist...
Heavenly Recordings had the annual Xmas party on the HMS English Rose just across the water from the towers of power. As always it was brilliant and we SET THE CONTROLS FOR THE HEART OF THE SUN...I peaked a little early and am still a little upset that I missed perouinc.com and the new Leica convert Mr. Che Storey who arrived at my behest sadly shortly after I split suffering with - well, actually loving - my head being full of supernovas...think I made a new friend too.
Over to Viceland to join the Hoxton lumberjacks at The Old Blue Last. Mr. David Yow's (ex of Scratch Acid and The Jesus Lizard) new crew Qui played upstairs. Good to see Heavy Metal Tony and Alison again. For more musings have a look at http://www.caughtbytheriver.net if you can be bothered.
