Gathering Of The Dark Lords

Left to Right: Kessler, Oldham, Capper, Turner and Moody. Can't you just almost hear the flapping of black scaly wings? Little Joe (Noodles from back in the day) had a do the night before moving to New York at the bar.

Long Way Around The Sea

Palermo Hollywood to Ministro Airport to New York JFK to London Heathrow to Stockwell to Sintra to Kings Cross to Hull. A few continents and medicated (Xanax) hours of flying. Feeling a little dazed and culture shocked after a brilliant trip. All respect to David who turned out to be the best international bad boy companion and greatest mate I could have wished for, home again....onwards and upwards.

Goodbye Argentina. Some gruesome flying ahead.

Palermo Hollywood

Tonight is the last night in Argentina. Weird, it does not seem like we've been away over a month. Matt is meeting us and taking us out. Hopefully this will involve flaming hunks of meat and ice cold beers.

Wild Wild South

Finally got oursleves a car and drove south for a few days. Literally a load of one horse towns surounded by the Andes. Condors over head etc. Feels a bit like the end of the world here.

Happy New Year

New Year in Baraloche the gateway to Patagonia in some Asado joint we ate tons of meat and then crashed a party back at the Hotel Edelweiss which contained the only truly drunk Argies we´ve met on this trip so far. The air and the water and the views here are incredible. It´s like an extreme Lake District.

Rainforest Metal

Couple of quiet days in Bahia Blanca waiting for an autobus to Patagonia. The kid in the record shop played us an acoustic version of ´Death, Blood, Fire´ by Norways finest Black Metalers Emperor which was almost worth coming all this way to hear. Bahia Blanca is off the tourist trail (it´s like an Argentine Plymouth) but cool to spend a bit of time in a real Argentine city away from the backpackers.

Museo de la Aviacion Naval

Last night we met Roldi in a bar and this morning he took us to the Naval Aviation museum in Bahia Blanca (this is a big Navy town) it was closed but as Roldi´s father flew for the Argentine navy (there is a street named after him here) they opened up especially for us. A real privilage and honour. Amazing place to visit. The white helmet and union jack were taken from Port Stanley and remain in the museum (Titlow wanted to steal them and return them to the Queen) really amazed by the bravery and heroism of the Argentine pilots (those that survived are national heroes now and many of them live here in Bahia Blanca) The kill markings are from the side of a Super Etende Dart that fired the exocets that sank HMS Sheffield and the Atlantic Conveyor.

Terminal Omnibus

On the road again heading south. Overnight bus to Mar Del Platta then onto Bahia Blanca for a couple of nights before Patagonia.
