Gramps And His Pants
Been back home in Yorkshire for a few days to visit Gramps. He's 95 and going (sort of) strong. Here he is hanging out his (massive) pants to dry. No internet for a few days. We went to the garden center in Shiptonthorpe for lunch today. He fucking loves it there. I got the fear a bit as it was full of other people in their ninties shuffling around. It was like Day Of The Dead. I'm so lucky to still have him around though. I want to photograph him as much as possible at the moment. For obvious reasons.

This Is Whathttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.spell.gif Jet Engines Spew Out
You know when you see those cute white contrails behind airliners that fly overhead? look harmless right? well, this is the brown shit they actually belch out. Although this picture was taken from another airplane and I am therefore guilty of massive hipocrasy. I think Douglas Coupland said "Use Jets while you still can" back in 1993. Wise words. Your average airliner pumps out environmental grief like a million Hummers.

Alfa Romeo Spider In Sicily
Just back from Sicily. Went over there for the launch of the new Alfa Romeo Spider. It's a very beautiful car. Drove around the island and ate lots of fish. The motorcycle cop was so proud and excited to see the new Spider that he insisted on giving us an escort to the restaurant where we were having lunch.

Engerland! (shttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.spell.gific)
Flags everywhere. Didn't Godspeed You Black Emperor! do a track called 'No Flags'? England expects I suppose but I can't stand the fat bastards in white vans screaming and shouting. Ended up watching the Jamaica friendly with The Wolf and Howard The Hoover. It was fun. Glad I won't be taking any penalties in Germany this summer.
