Spent the day taking pictures of men in white shirts. Then over to Kings X for swift one with Ted and Robbo. Then had a nice meal with Stef and Jon and family. Georgias guitar playing is really coming along despite the fact she has a gorillas hand attached to her right arm.

Just drove back to town from East Yorks in a furious, bibical, tsunami-like rain. Took the A1 which proved to be the right choice and got to London in a couple of hours then listened to The Knife while driving across town: An amazingly creepy record. It's a great relief that Taz is sorted and happy up there for a couple of weeks, my dad really loves him. At Davids now for a while, I really couldn't ask for a better friend at the moment. Alonso is the world champion but Schumacher drove like a real hero at Interlagos tonight. His performance in Brazil kept me on the edge of my seat all the way down: he drove with fury but also discipline and went for it but was totally in the zone. He should feel very proud now. He will be missed. It's funny how motor racing is more exciting on the radio.
Sorry for the (VERY) oblique Hood reference. Here's Mum and Dads Caravan which might well become my new home. It's got everything you need: Microwave, TV, Shower etc etc. Perous' mate James has lived in a similar van for years. Be great not to pay £1000's of pounds a month in rent. Just me and Taz down by the sea somewhere. Maybe I'll finally write a book.

We finished the December issue today and I left the office at 8 and drove up North. The Part-Chimp album is amazing, as is Turn On The Bright Lights by Interpol which I am listening to on contant rotation. Here's Taz with all the people I work with. I hope it was fun for them to have him around for a couple of days...
Things were not working out for Taz down at Perou's so went down there (Wednesday) and took him back to town with me. It's a real shame but it feels great to have him back: he's my boy and I love him to bits and he's a responsibilty I cherish. It's actually a relief for me to have him with me despite the current nightmares.
This is the new extension to Moorfields Eye Hospital that I walk past on the way to the lab. I think it's amazing. I walk past it everyday but until today it has been covered in plastic and building stuff. London needs projects like this which are creative and different.
Stayed with David this week and he and I and Davids father Peter ("Chap" to his mates and a true gent and great laugh. A totally brilliant bloke) went for Tapas in Vauxhall in a joint that is very popular with the Secret Service (the MI6 building is just round the corner) The Feds must have left this shield as a gift from visiting spooks from across the pond.

Thursday off so thought I'd drive down to the Perou Commune and catch up with Taz Etc. On the way down I saw this huge Airship in the sky and thought that flying on an Airship would be a very nice way of getting around the world. Notice Taz has a new scar? Stratford has alot more. Then drove to Woking for a very pleasant Indian with my dear Aunt Lesley and Uncle Kit. My Aunt has a secret and I'm not telling: She looks ace though! watch this space for pics....

Lucky escape for me last night (I grabbed a lift with Mr Paul). David came over this morning with tales of drunkeness and chaos at Neil's aftershow back at his. Sorting more things out and found this (ace) pic of Dad and Libby next door at Osteria earlier this year. I watched an amazing programme (The Natural World) about Wolves tonight and it made me cry.

Sorry for the delay: long difficult week. Teds Bday tonight down at the bar. April was over from NYC; really nice to see her. On the way home I met this Irish guy whos' job it is to climb down into Londons' Victorian sewers and clean any blockages. He was very cheerfull.
